New Delhi, September 08 (H.S.): Global markets are giving mixed signals today. The US market saw no trading in the previous session due to the Monday holiday on Wall Street. However, Dow Jones futures were seen trading 328.44 points, or 0.61 per cent, lower at 53,085.81. European markets witnessed mixed trading in the previous session. Similarly, Asian markets are also trading mixed today.

European markets closed with mixed results in the previous session. The FTSE index declined 0.13 per cent to close at 10,817.46, while the DAX index ended the previous session 0.23 per cent lower at 25,987.40. In contrast, the CAC index gained 0.24 per cent to close at 8,299.

Asian markets are also witnessing mixed trading today. Of the nine major Asian markets, five indices are trading in positive territory, while four are in the red. GIFT Nifty was trading 0.18 per cent lower at 23,784.50. Similarly, the SET Composite Index declined 0.16 per cent to 1,616.18. The Hang Seng Index fell 103.12 points, or 0.41 per cent, to 25,310, while the Straits Times Index was trading 0.57 per cent lower at 5,759.22.

On the other hand, the Nikkei index rose 223.16 points, or 0.34 per cent, to 66,623. Similarly, the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.36 per cent to reach 3,946.99. The KOSPI index also made a strong advance today. It was trading 165.84 points, or 2.37 per cent, higher at 7,161.23. Likewise, the Jakarta Composite Index climbed 0.82 per cent to 6,673.63. In addition, the Taiwan Weighted Index was trading 95.02 points, or 0.20 per cent, higher at 47,421.29.
