Guwahati, 08 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that the state government’s crackdown against drug mafias, middlemen, smuggling and illegal foreigners is continuing without compromise.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said that Biswanath Police have detained nine suspected illegal foreign nationals in Biswanath district and initiated the necessary legal proceedings.

He further asserted that the Assam Police would continue such operations with the same uncompromising approach in the days ahead.------------
