NEW DELHI, September 07 (H.S.): Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the Satya Niketan incident site on Monday morning and reviewed the security arrangements and ongoing rescue and relief operations.

She said an FIR had already been registered against the building owner. The Chief Minister directed authorities to immediately seal five-storey buildings across Delhi.

She further warned that strict action would be taken against Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) officials found responsible for the incident. Gupta also directed authorities to conduct intensive inspections of nearby paying guest (PG) accommodations and buildings and to seal them wherever violations of prescribed rules are found.

The Chief Minister made it clear that there would be no compromise on the safety of Delhi residents and that no one responsible for negligence would be spared.

The death toll in the incident has risen to six, while rescue and relief operations remain underway.
