Guwahati, 07 September (HS): A sensational murder case has been reported from Bashisthapur area of Beltola in Guwahati, where a woman, identified as Riya Talukdar, was allegedly killed by her husband, Ramanujan Goswami, following a domestic dispute.

According to preliminary information, the husband allegedly attacked Riya with a machete during an altercation, killing her inside their room. He allegedly severed her head and cut one of her fingers before placing the head inside a refrigerator and fleeing the house.

Residents reportedly alerted the police after noticing a foul smell emanating from the house. Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The accused husband remains absconding and efforts are underway to trace him.------------
