
New Delhi, September 07 (H.S.): In view of passenger convenience and the anticipated rush, Northern Railway has decided to operate a Superfast Special Express between Muzaffarpur Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal. Train Nos. 05219/05220 will operate on specified dates from September 11 to November 28. The train will comprise air-conditioned, sleeper and general second-class coaches.
Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said on Monday that Train No. 05219 Muzaffarpur–Anand Vihar Terminal Superfast Special Express will depart from Muzaffarpur Junction every Friday from September 11 to November 27. In the return direction, Train No. 05220 Anand Vihar Terminal–Muzaffarpur Special Express will operate every Saturday from September 12 to November 28. The train will make a total of 12 trips in each direction.
Train No. 05219 will depart from Muzaffarpur Junction at 1:30 pm and travel via Hajipur Junction, Sonpur, Patliputra, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Prayagraj Junction, Govindpuri and Tundla Junction before reaching Anand Vihar Terminal at 10 am the following day.
On the return journey, Train No. 05220 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 12 noon and travel via Tundla, Govindpuri, Prayagraj Junction, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara, Danapur, Patliputra, Sonpur and Hajipur Junction before arriving at Muzaffarpur Junction at 9:45 am the next day.
According to the Railways, passengers have been advised to use the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or contact the railway helpline at 139 for detailed information regarding the train’s schedule, stoppages and reservation status.
