After the success of the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, actor Ranveer Singh is now busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Pralay’. Directed by Jai Mehta, the film is said to be a zombie thriller and survival drama. Shooting has already begun in Mumbai, and amid this, Ranveer Singh’s first glimpse from the set has gone viral on social media. In the pictures, the actor can be seen sporting long hair, a light beard and a rugged, rough-and-tough appearance. His new look has further heightened the audience’s curiosity about the film.

A video from the set shows Ranveer shooting alongside his co-stars in a dusty and challenging environment. The roads on the set appear muddy, while several vehicles can also be seen parked in the surrounding area. In one sequence, Ranveer is seen carrying a young girl on his back, offering a glimpse into the survival-driven and emotional elements of the story. The film is set in a futuristic Mumbai, where a deadly pandemic has ravaged the city following a devastating zombie outbreak.

With ‘Pralay’, Ranveer Singh is also set to begin a new chapter as a producer. The film is being produced and directed by Jai Mehta, who is the son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta. Malayalam actress Kalyani Priyadarshan will also be seen in a key role alongside Ranveer. Kalyani received considerable acclaim for her performance in the 2025 release ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’.

With its combination of a zombie thriller, survival drama and Ranveer Singh’s striking new avatar, ‘Pralay’ has already generated considerable excitement among moviegoers.
