New Delhi, September 07 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Maharashtra on Tuesday, September 8, where he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay the foundation stones for development projects worth more than ₹35,000 crore.

In Vadodara, the Prime Minister will dedicate three key sections of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, covering 326 route kilometres and developed at a cost of more than ₹20,700 crore. Their completion will make the entire Dedicated Freight Corridor network fully operational and improve the movement of freight between industrial centres and ports.

Modi will also launch several railway and highway projects, including new rail infrastructure worth more than ₹9,700 crore and National Highway projects costing around ₹1,780 crore. Several Gujarat government projects, including housing, water supply, urban infrastructure and a 110 MW floating solar project, will also be inaugurated or launched.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Mumbai to inaugurate the Global Fintech Fest 2026. The seventh edition of the international fintech conference will be held from September 8 to 11 under the theme, “Potential to Impact: Agentic AI, Tokenisation, Quantum - Trusted, Connected, Global Systems for Inclusive Finance.”

The Mumbai programme will focus on emerging technologies, digital finance, financial inclusion and the development of trusted and connected financial systems.
