MP Ujjwal Raman Singh expresses displeasure over slow pace
and poor quality of CM Grid Scheme
L&T laid a haphazard sewer line and left it there, this should be investigated
Prayagraj, 07 Sept (HS): Allahabad
MP Ujjwal Raman Singh conducted a site inspection of ongoing construction work
under the Chief Minister's Green Road Infrastructure Development (CM GRID)
scheme in the Kareli area. During the inspection, he expressed deep displeasure
over the inordinate delays in road construction and the use of substandard
materials.
Taking cognizance of the persistent complaints from local residents, MP Ujjwal
Raman Singh visited the Kareli area. There, he found that gravel, debris, and
soil had been dumped in various locations for a long time in the name of road
and sewer construction, causing dust to billow throughout the area and
disrupting traffic.
The MP expressed his displeasure, saying, Instead of providing
convenience to the public under the CM Grid Scheme, they have been forced to
face utter chaos and inconvenience. Ignoring standards and corruption in
development works will not be tolerated at any cost.
Vinay Kushwaha, MP representative, said that for quick solution of the burning
issues of Kareli area, MP Ujjwal Raman Singh asked the Municipal Commissioner
to clean Ghaghar and KW drains and remove encroachments. He said that due to
encroachment on the drains, even with a little rain, dirty water overflows and
enters people's houses. Therefore, encroachments on the drains should be
removed and cleaning should be done.
He said that the sewer lines laid by L&T in Kareli are against the natural
flow and have not been connected. The roads and lanes have been dug up and left
for five years. All this is a living example of corruption.
