Lucknow, 07 Sept (HS): On
International Literacy Day (September 8), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath issued a special 'Yogi Ki Patti' (open letter) to the state's people
and students. Education's goal, according to CM Yogi's letter, is not only to teach
children to read and write, but also to develop knowledge, values, discipline,
self-confidence, and the ability to make sound decisions.
Digital and AI literacy: In addition to traditional knowledge, modern
science, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) literacy are emphasized.
AI City in Lucknow and drone technology in Kanpur are paving the way for future
possibilities. Teachers have been described as the foundation of nation building and an important
pillar for spreading knowledge. A determination has been made to give education
to every child, to link every youngster with skills, and to make every citizen
of the state literate with the collaboration of the society.
Meanwhile, UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “My
esteemed fellow citizens of the state, Teachers are those lamps that, by
spreading the light of knowledge, pave the way for future generations. In the
direction of expanding this knowledge and empowering every individual, we will
observe International Literacy Day on September 8. Our government is connecting
traditional knowledge with modern science, technology, innovation, and skills.
The developing ecosystem of Al City in Lucknow and drone and UAV technology in
Kanpur is becoming the foundation for new possibilities in Uttar Pradesh's
technological future. Let us, on this International Literacy Day, resolve that
every child reaches school, every student receives quality education, every
youth connects with skills and innovation, and every citizen, along with being
literate, becomes aware of digital knowledge and AI.”
