Guwahati, 07 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday lauded the Assam Police after Hailakandi Police seized 1.3 lakh Yaba tablets valued at over ₹6 crore during a vehicle check at Ramnathpur.

According to the Chief Minister’s social media post, the contraband was concealed in hidden cavities of the vehicle. Police apprehended two accused persons in connection with the seizure.

Commending the police operation, Sarma said, “Good work, Assam Police!” The seizure is part of the state’s continued crackdown on drugs under the #AssamAgainstDrugs campaign.---------------
