Kolkata, 07 September (H.S.): Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic collapse of a hostel building in Delhi.

In a post on social media platform X, Banerjee said she was extremely saddened by the incident and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. She also conveyed her deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.

“Every life is precious, but when students lose their lives while pursuing their dreams, it hurts even more,” she said.

Banerjee further stressed the need to find meaningful and effective solutions to ensure a safer and better future for students and to prevent such tragedies in the future.
