Lucknow, 06 Sept (HS): “Today,

an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas and a ground inspection of the

ghats were conducted in Chitrakoot district. At the same time, relief materials

were distributed to 800 flood-affected families, land allotment certificates

for housing were provided to families left homeless by the floods, and relief

amounts from the Disaster Relief Fund were also distributed. On this occasion,

I reached out to the affected families to inquire about their well-being. I

assure the flood-affected people that the government stands firmly with them

with full commitment,” opines UP CM in a post on X.

In Chitrakoot district, during a program organized for the distribution of

relief materials to flood-affected families, land allotment certificates for

housing to shelterless families, and relief funds, UP CM remarked, “We will

also conduct a survey of the crops and provide relief based on the survey. I

assure all of you, in this hour of calamity, you are not alone. The day when

water suddenly arrived in Chitrakoot. I immediately dispatched additional

companies of SDRF and PAC, which handle flood control and swiftly advance rescue

operations, to Chitrakoot.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath arrived in Chitrakoot on Sunday and conducted an aerial and

ground inspection of the areas affected by the Mandakini River floods. He

inspected the damaged Tulsidas statue and distributed relief supplies to flood

victims, assuring them that all those displaced by the floods will be provided

with PM housing and that the double-engine government stands with them in this

crisis.

is meeting and assisting those affected by the floods in the state. He is

visiting various locations and communicating directly with the affected people.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Chitrakoot to meet with

the flood-affected people, provide them with relief materials, and support them

in their time of need. He visited the flood-affected areas in Chitrakoot to

assess the flood situation. After conducting an aerial survey of the

devastation caused by the overflowing Mandakini River, the Chief Minister

directly headed to Ramghat. There, he conducted a field inspection of the flood

damage and directly interacted with affected merchants and local residents to

learn about the flood damage. During his field inspection of Ramghat, Chief

Minister Yogi stopped near the statue of Saint Tulsidas, which had been damaged

by the floods. Upon seeing the condition of the statue, he expressed deep

concern and informed the administrative officials present about the efforts

being made to restore and protect it.

relief material and toffees: After an aerial survey and inspection of Ramghat,

CM Yogi arrived at the Ramayan Mela. He was accompanied by Water Power Minister

Swatantra Dev Singh, District Minister in-charge Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, former

minister Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, and several public representatives. The

Chief Minister distributed relief kits to flood victims and distributed

chocolates and toffees to children while pampering them.

In the programme organised on

this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started his speech by chanting

Jai Siyaram. He said that in Chitrakoot, the land where Maryada Purushottam

Lord Ram had lived for 12 years and realised the idea of Ramrajya, today in

this hour of disaster the double engine government is standing with all the

victims. He said that on the day the flood occurred, he was in Ballia, but

after seeing the flood situation, he had instructed the officers concerned

through video conferencing to immediately start rescue work. He said that this

time the flood has occurred due to the flow of water in Mandakini many times

more than in previous years.

Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, attacking previous governments, said that even before

2017, floods had occurred in Chitrakoot, but the then governments ignored them

and embezzled all the relief funds. Referring to the distribution of only bread

during floods under previous governments, he said that corruption was rampant

even in the name of helping flood victims. Essential relief materials were not

available, nor were people's grievances heard. Now, the double-engine

government is helping every flood victim. Those whose homes were washed away or

destroyed in the floods will be provided with new houses or land leases under

the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister Housing Scheme). Chief Minister

Yogi distributed relief kits to flood victims at the Ramayana Auditorium.

Present with Chief Minister Yogi were Water Power Minister Swatantra Dev Singh,

District In-charge Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, former Minister Chandrika

Prasad Upadhyay, and several public representatives.
