New Delhi, September 06 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday interacted with fellow passengers, schoolchildren and young people during his metro journey from Lok Kalyan Marg.

In a video shared on X, the Prime Minister was seen engaging in an informal conversation with passengers, during which discussions touched upon Teachers’ Day and the country’s progress. Modi particularly encouraged students to develop a habit of reading and advised them to explore biographies and autobiographies. He also sought direct feedback from passengers on the transformation witnessed in his parliamentary constituency, Kashi (Varanasi).

During his interaction with children and young passengers, the Prime Minister asked whether they discussed the country’s progress and whether they read books beyond their regular studies. When one student said that he mainly read novels, Modi advised him to include biographies in his reading.

“You should try to read an autobiography or biography. You can read the biography of a sportsperson, a film artist or a scientist... read about anyone,” the Prime Minister said. He also sought a commitment from a student present there to read such inspiring books beyond the prescribed curriculum.

During the interaction, another student recited the Sanskrit shloka “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnuh...” in honour of the Prime Minister. PM Modi smiled and encouraged the child.

The Prime Minister also interacted with a woman passenger from Kashi who had graduated from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and pursued law at Delhi University. He sought her views on the unprecedented changes witnessed in his parliamentary constituency and asked about the ground realities there.
