Guwahati, 06 September (HS): A Class XI student was allegedly brutally murdered inside his residence in broad daylight at Khetri in Assam’s Dimoria area, triggering widespread concern in the locality.

The shocking incident took place at the government quarter of Manoj Sharma, the victim’s father, who is employed in the Health Department. According to preliminary information, the parents had gone out after dropping their younger son at a music school.

On returning home, the parents were shocked to find their Class XI son lying dead inside the quarter with his hands and legs tied.

The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Khetri Police Station and has raised serious questions over the law-and-order situation in the area. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances behind the murder and identify those responsible.---------------
