Lucknow,

05 Sept (HS): On the occasion of

Teachers' Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his best wishes to all

the state's teachers and gurus. Sharing a selfie video on his Instagram account

on Saturday, the Chief Minister recalled Uttar Pradesh's ancient knowledge

tradition and emphasized the crucial role of teachers in the modern education

system.

In a statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he extends his

heartfelt greetings on Teachers' Day to all the gurus and teachers who have

passed on the state's unique knowledge tradition to the new generation in a

modern form. Uttar Pradesh has been a sacred land of knowledge, spiritual

practice, and culture since ancient times. Kashi gave the world the light of

knowledge, while Sarnath was the site where Lord Buddha delivered his first

sermon. Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, and Prayagraj have also been major centers

of the eternal knowledge tradition.

The Chief Minister also mentioned the

knowledge tradition of Shuktirtha and Naimisharanya. He said that about five

thousand years ago, Maharishi Shukdev first recited the Shrimad Bhagwat in

Shuktirtha. At the same time, the meditation of 88 thousand sages in

Naimisharanya enriched the Indian knowledge tradition. It was from this land

that the great traditions of Ayurveda, spirituality, philosophy, and Indian

knowledge and science developed. Yogi said that today, the state's teachers are

shaping the future of the new generation by combining this glorious knowledge

tradition with modern education, technology, and innovation. He congratulated

the teachers and expressed his best wishes to them.
