Nashik, 05 Sept (HS): Religious tour of 40 people

from Mumbai turned into morning when five of them started drowning while taking

bath at Ramkund area of Godawari River in Nashik. The local residents an life

savers brought four of them to the shore, but could not save one 14-year-old

boy, Gopal Gupta.

Originally from North India and presently staying in

Mumbai has reached Nashik during their religious tour. Five of them entered

Godawari River for taking bath. Unable to estimate depth of the river near

Chakradhar Swami Temple in Ramkund area, they started drowing. The life saver

squad posted at the tourist spot along with some local people saved lives of

four. Gupal Gupta, however died.
