61 teachers of basic education and 20 teachers of secondary education honored,

33 female teachers also included

Govt continuously working for respect and welfare of teachers: Basic Education

Gorakhpur/Lucknow, 05 Sept (HS): On

the occasion of Teacher's Day, 81 teachers of the state who made outstanding

contribution in the field of education were honored by Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath in a grand ceremony organized at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium

in Gorakhpur. These included 61 teachers from the Basic Education Department

and 20 teachers from the Secondary Education Department. Out of the 20 selected

teachers of the Secondary Education Department, 5 teachers were honored with

the Chief Minister's Teacher Award. 33 female teachers were also included among

the honored teachers, of which 31 were from the Basic Education Department and

2 were from the Secondary Education Department.

Addressing the program, Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent

Charge) Sandeep Singh extended his heartfelt greetings to all teachers on

Teachers' Day, saying that this sacred land of Gorakhpur is not only a land of

faith and spirituality, but also of knowledge, culture, and national service.

This land has always served to guide society. He said that today is a day to

remember the great educationist, philosopher, and former President of India,

Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. His life is proof that a teacher

does not merely teach in the classroom, but also instills in children an

awareness of social service, nationalism, and their responsibilities.

Sandeep Singh said that the state government is continuously working to honor

and protect the well-being of teachers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath, the honorariums of Shiksha Mitras, instructors, and cooks have

been increased, along with providing them with benefits like social security

and cashless medical care. He said that the Chief Minister's Cashless Medical

Scheme, social and economic security, and various initiatives undertaken for

the benefit of teachers and education personnel reflect the government's

teacher-friendly approach.

He said that the state government is paying special attention to providing all

the necessary basic facilities in schools for the bright future of children.

Through Operation Kayakalp, council schools have been equipped with basic

facilities. Students are being connected to the modern education system through

digital education, smart classes, co-curricular activities, and artificial

intelligence-based education.

Sandeep Singh said that education plays a crucial role in fulfilling Prime

Minister Narendra Modi's pledge to make India a developed nation by 2047. With

this goal in mind, the state government is continuously working to provide

quality education and a better educational environment for children.

He said that education is a medium of social service and requires continuous

improvement. The state government is committed to positive change in the

education system. He said that comprehensive changes in the state's basic

education system began in 2017, and today its results are evident in the form

of improved school systems, modern facilities, and excellent work by teachers.

Minister Singh said that teachers working in the state's council schools have

the ability to compete with teachers from any good institution. He urged the

honored teachers not to limit their excellent work to themselves, but to

inspire their fellow teachers to innovate and improve teaching. He said that

teachers should have a spirit of cooperation rather than competition, so that

together they can make the future of children brighter.

He stated that in accordance with the state government's vision, Chief Minister

Model Composite Schools are being developed in every district. He said that

once these schools are completed, the state government's visionary approach to

the education system will become more clearly visible.

Minister Singh said that this Teachers' Day celebration is an opportunity to

honor the contributions of teachers and inspire other teachers in the state to

achieve excellence. Congratulating all the teachers honored with the State

Teacher Award and the Chief Minister's Teacher Award, he said that their

outstanding work is a source of inspiration for other teachers in the state.

Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi,

other public representatives, senior officials and selected teachers from

various districts of the state were present in the program.
