Bhubaneswar, 05 September (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday extended his greetings to the people on the birth anniversary of former Vice-President and eminent educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, observed as Teachers’ Day.

In a social media post, Majhi said education is not merely a means of imparting knowledge but a great process of shaping lives. He highlighted the important role of teachers in providing quality education to students while nurturing their inherent talent, creativity and moral values.

The Chief Minister said teachers are accorded the highest respect in Indian society as ‘Gurus’ for their contribution to shaping individuals and society.

Majhi expressed hope and confidence that the teaching community would continue to discharge its important responsibility with dedication by enriching students with knowledge, values and self-confidence and helping them build a bright future.

He also extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
