Sivasagar (Assam), 05 September (HS): A 21-year-old man was found dead along National Highway 37 in the Dishing Majgaon area of Assam’s Sivasagar district on Saturday morning, triggering panic in the locality.

Police said they reached the spot after receiving information about a body lying along the highway and recovered it. The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Abhay Hazarika.

A motorcycle bearing registration number AS-04AD-3552 was also recovered near the body. The police sent the body to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death.-----------
