Guwahati, 05 September (HS): Assam Police have intensified a statewide crackdown against fraudsters allegedly involved in cheating and deceiving common people, with more than 300 fraudsters reportedly being apprehended across the state, officials informed.

As part of the ongoing drive, five fraudsters were arrested in Goalpara, while 15 were apprehended in Lakhimpur and 10 in Bongaigaon, according to police sources.

The statewide operation is aimed at curbing fraudulent activities and protecting the public from financial and other forms of deception.----------
