Bhubaneswar, 04 September (H.S.): On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, former Union Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan attended and listened to the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha delivered by Sadhvi Ritambhara in Jagannath Puri.

Sharing his spiritual experience in a social media post, Pradhan said that remembering the devotion of Lord Krishna fills the mind with joy and peace.

Pradhan said that when negativity increases in society, there is a need to “draw a bigger line of positivity” in response. Describing Sadhvi Ritambhara as a visionary saint, he said she has made significant efforts to promote positivity and spiritual consciousness in society.

He also praised her efforts to connect people with Indian traditions, values and cultural ethos through online platforms, describing it as an important contribution to society.

Pradhan said that the resolve to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) can be achieved alongside spiritual consciousness. He also appealed to people to join the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha through online platforms and draw inspiration from the devotion of Lord Krishna.

Earlier, Pradhan visited the Shree Jagannath Temple and Lokanath Temple in Puri and offered prayers.
