New Delhi, 04 September (H.S.): Jagdish Mittal, a senior pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), founding president of the Rashtriya Kavi Sangam and a renowned litterateur, passed away on September 3. Union Minister Manohar Lal and the chief ministers of several states expressed grief over his demise, describing him as a personality devoted to the nation, society, the organisation and literature. Jagdish Mittal’s last rites will be performed at 3 p.m. today in Jagadhri, Haryana.

Union Minister Manohar Lal described Jagdish Mittal’s demise as extremely saddening and said that he had devoted his entire life to the service of the nation, society and literature. His commitment to society and dedication to literature would remain a priceless legacy for generations to come, he said. He prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and give the bereaved family the strength to endure this immense loss.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed grief and said that the life of Jagdish Mittal, founder and president of the Rashtriya Kavi Sangam and former senior pracharak of the RSS, remained dedicated to national consciousness, the organisation, literature and social service. His life had served as an inspiration to numerous workers and activists, she said. She prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength for his family members and well-wishers.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav described Jagdish Mittal’s demise as extremely painful and said that his life, dedicated to the welfare of society and the nation, would always remain an inspiration. He prayed to Baba Mahakal to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear the loss.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma described his demise as deeply distressing and said that Jagdish Mittal’s dedication to national consciousness, literary pursuit and organisational life would continue to inspire everyone to move forward on the path of national service. He prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and give his family the strength to endure the loss.

Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa expressed grief and said that Jagdish Mittal’s lifelong dedication to the nation, society and literature would always be remembered. He prayed to Waheguru Ji to grant the departed soul a place at His feet and provide strength and solace to the grieving family.
