Lucknow, 30 Sept (HS): On

Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend a ceremony to distribute

prosthetic limbs and assistance equipment. Exercise targeted for increasing

mobility and making life easier for those with impairments. The event will take hosted at the Gorakhpur Club in Civil Lines. According

to authorities, 664 assistive gadgets will be delivered as part of the campaign

to 509 individuals.

Beneficiaries will receive equipment that is tailored to their individual

limitations and needs. Motorized tricycles will be distributed to 127 people,

e-tricycles to 25, and traditional tricycles to 70 others. A total of 319 smart

canes and Braille kits will be handed to 155 recipients, while 90 people will

receive hearing aids. Five people will receive smartphones, while one person

will receive the Bhagavad Gita and the Ramayana in Braille.

Meanwhile, UP CM stated in a

post on X, “Connecting persons with disabilities to the mainstream of society

with self-reliance, respect, and equal opportunities is the resolve of the

double-engine government. Advancing this very resolve, today in Gorakhpur, the

sacred land of penance of Shivavatar Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath Ji, 509

persons with disabilities will be distributed 664 assistive devices. These

devices will not only make their daily lives easier but also infuse new

strength into their self-confidence, so that every person with disability can

participate in the journey of development with their full potential.”
