New Delhi, 30 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday underscored the importance of dedication and integrity in the discharge of one’s duties, saying that a person can attain the highest fulfilment by performing his or her prescribed responsibilities with diligence and unwavering commitment.

Prime Minister Modi shared a Sanskrit subhashita on the social media platform X on Wednesday. He wrote:

“स्वे स्वे कर्मण्यभिरतः संसिद्धिं लभते नरः।

स्वकर्मनिरतः सिद्धिं यथा विन्दति तच्छृणु॥”

The verse conveys the message that a person who remains devoted to his or her respective duties can attain the highest fulfilment. It emphasises commitment and diligence in one’s work as the foundation for achieving success and fulfilment.

Through the subhashita, the message is conveyed that individuals should discharge their prescribed responsibilities with honesty, dedication and complete sincerity. By performing one’s duties with steadfast commitment, a person can strive towards the highest level of accomplishment in life.
