New Delhi, 30 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of five people in a severe bus-truck collision in Gujarat’s Anand district. He conveyed his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), in a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday, quoted Prime Minister Modi as saying, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the accident in Anand, Gujarat. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of all those injured.”

The accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in Gujarat’s Anand district when a bus and a truck collided. Five people were killed and five others were reported injured in the crash.

Following the accident, the local administration and police launched rescue and relief operations and shifted the injured to hospitals for medical treatment.
