Deoria, 30 Sept (HS): With the aim

of taking the government's public welfare schemes to the eligible beneficiaries

and making the services of various departments available at one place in the rural

areas, a special multi-departmental service program was organized under the

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in the development block Baitalpur on Wednesday. The

program was inaugurated by the state government's Agriculture Minister Surya

Pratap Shahi. Various departments, including agriculture, animal husbandry,

fisheries, horticulture, industry and entrepreneurship promotion, cooperation,

backward class welfare, disabled empowerment, medical, food and logistics and

revenue, set up stalls in the camp.

A large number

of farmers, livestock farmers, fishermen, entrepreneurs, and villagers attended

the camp. Officials and staff listened to the villagers' problems and provided

information and assistance to connect eligible individuals with relevant

schemes. The Agriculture Department stall provided information about

farmer-friendly schemes, including the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi,

agricultural investments, and agricultural equipment. Applications and cases

from more than 50 beneficiaries were registered under various schemes.

At the

Fisheries Department stall, information was provided to the fishermen community

and fish farmers about subsidies and fisheries-related schemes. 62 fish farmers

were registered on the NFDP portal to provide digital identity. 75 registrations

were received for the schemes of the Animal Husbandry Department. Animal

farmers were given information about animal health and departmental schemes. 10

applications were received at the Food and Logistics Department stall, in which

ration cards of two eligible beneficiaries were issued on the spot.

The

Horticulture and Food Processing Department provided information about

agricultural diversification projects. The Industry and Entrepreneurship

Promotion Department informed about self-employment and enterprise

establishment schemes. Applications were also accepted from interested people.

The Cooperative Department provided information about cooperative schemes and

facilities available to farmers. The Backward Classes Welfare and Disabled

Empowerment Department informed eligible people about welfare schemes and

available facilities.

At the

Medical Department's stall, information about health services and public

welfare health schemes was provided, and 173 people were registered for medical

examinations. At the Revenue Department's stall, villagers were provided with

information regarding revenue services and various certificates. 65

applications were received for caste and residence certificates. Departmental

staff provided applicants with necessary information regarding the process.

Agriculture

Minister Surya Pratap Shahi inspected stalls from various departments. He

inquired from officials about the implementation of schemes and the facilities

being provided to beneficiaries. He stated that the government's intention is

to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach eligible

individuals without hassle. Through such camps, villagers are receiving

services from multiple departments at one location, instead of having to visit

multiple offices. He directed that the applications received be processed

promptly as per the rules and that eligible individuals be provided with the

benefits of the schemes.

At the

event, Sadar MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi distributed tricycles to leg-impaired

individuals. He stated that the government is committed to extending the

benefits of government schemes to even the lowest rung of society. Through the

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, villagers are receiving information and services about

various departmental schemes in one place. He urged officials to process

applications from eligible beneficiaries with sensitivity and ensure timely

access to benefits.

During the

program, departmental officers and employees listened to the villagers'

problems and explained the process for availing benefits of the schemes. The

objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to disseminate information about

government schemes to every village, identify eligible beneficiaries, and

connect them with the schemes. Public representatives, departmental officers

and employees, farmers, animal husbandry, fisheries, entrepreneurs,

beneficiaries, and a large number of villagers were present at the program.
