Farrukhabad, 03 Sept (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

arrived in Farrukhabad on Thursday. His helicopter landed at the Police Line

grounds. In a large pandal set up there, the Chief Minister distributed relief

kits containing 26 types of items to 1,000 flood victims. He also provided

leases for residential land and financial assistance for house construction to

those displaced by the floods. He then addressed a public meeting.

Nearly 70 villages in the district have been affected by the

flooding of the Ganges River. According to the administration, 78,671 people

from 19,295 families are affected by the floods. Approximately 7,200 hectares

of crops have been affected, while 127 villagers have been rendered homeless

after their homes were flooded. The Ganges' water level is currently 10

centimeters above the warning level. 96 people have received assistance of Rs. 1.20

lakh, and 67 have received housing leases.

It should be noted that 96 flood-affected villagers have been

provided with assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh for housing construction. 67 people

have been given leases for residential land.

The Chief Minister personally distributed relief material to

the beneficiaries and met the flood-affected families. In the program, land

leases were also given to 31 flood victims. Each of these beneficiaries was

given a cheque of financial assistance of Rs 1.20 lakh to build a house on the

leased land. This will help the flood-affected families to rebuild their homes.

A waterproof pandal was prepared in the police line for the Chief Minister's

program. Seating arrangements were made for about 10,000 people. The pandal was

packed to capacity even before the program started. A large number of

flood-affected families and other people arrived to listen to the Chief

Minister.

Many villages in the district were affected by the Ganges

floods. While distributing relief supplies, the Chief Minister visited the

affected families and inquired about their problems. Extensive security

arrangements were made by the police and administration for the event.

Officials continuously monitored the arrangements at the venue.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, after conducting an aerial

survey of the flood-affected areas of the district on Thursday, reached the

helipad at the police line by helicopter at 11:58 am, about half an hour late.

At around 12:06 pm, he arrived at the relief camp set up at

the Parade Ground. He interacted with the flood victims, distributing relief

supplies to 995 flood victims and providing lease deeds to 31 people whose

homes were washed away. CM Yogi's helicopter was visible, but at a high

altitude. After conducting an aerial survey, the helicopter returned to the

parade ground of the Farrukhabad Police Lines.

There was seating arrangement for 10,000 people: The district

administration constructed a grand pandal for the event at the parade ground of

the Police Lines. Seating arrangements were made for over 10,000 people.

Parking spaces were set up at 12 locations for the vehicles of visitors to the

venue.

Venue for the Chief Minister's program was earlier selected

between Etawah-Bareilly Highway Ramganga Bridge and Dabri village, but due to

heavy rains, there was waterlogging there. Then, on Tuesday, it was decided to

select the parade ground of the Police Lines at the district headquarters.

Since then, the district administration has begun preparations on a war

footing.

Road was built by interlocking: An interlocking road was

constructed overnight from the Civil Lines Madiya intersection to the Police

Lines grounds. The entire grounds were cleaned and a massive waterproof pandal

was constructed there by an organization from Lucknow.

Meanwhile, UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “Today, I will

participate in programs in Farrukhabad to provide strength to the lives of

families affected by the disaster and in Mathura to give new momentum to

development and public welfare. In Farrukhabad, relief materials will be distributed

to 1,000 families affected by the floods, and land allotment certificates for

housing will be provided to families left homeless, along with relief amounts

from the Disaster Relief Fund. In every moment of crisis, the state government

stands with the affected families with complete sensitivity. In Mathura, the

sacred birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna, in the loving presence of revered

saints and sages, the inauguration/foundation stone laying of 229 development

projects worth Rs. 1,051

crore, including the Swami Shri Haridas Auditorium, will take place.

Additionally, assistance amounts will be distributed to 7,240 beneficiaries of

the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 and Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana

(Rural), and certificates, tractor keys, and cheques will be handed over to

beneficiaries of various schemes. From relief in disasters to providing every

family with a roof and bringing the gifts of development to the land of faith,

this journey of public welfare is continuously realizing the resolve of 'Developed

Uttar Pradesh.'”
