
Lucknow, 03 Sept (HS): On Teachers' Day, September 5, Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath will honor 81 teachers from across the state for their
effective school management, innovation, and overall student development with
the State Teacher Award 2025 and the Chief Minister's Teacher Award 2025. The
ceremony will take place at the Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium in
Gorakhpur. Hotels have been assigned to accommodate teachers from across the
state selected for the awards, as special guests.
Sixty-one teachers from the Basic Education Department and
20 from the Secondary Education Department have been selected for the
state-level award. This includes a total of 33 female teachers (31 from basic
and two from secondary schools). Five of the selected teachers from the
Secondary Education Department will be honored with the Chief Minister
Teacher Award. The award's primary purpose is to encourage teachers for
their excellent teaching and to enhance their efforts to promote education in
society.
Rs. 25,000 will be given as prize money: The Yogi government
will present teachers honored with state-level awards with a citation and a
memento, along with Rs. 25,000 as prize money. Furthermore, honored teachers
will also receive a lifetime free travel facility of 4,000 kilometers per year
on Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation buses. The retirement age of teachers
receiving state-level awards will also be extended by two years.
