Kamrup (Assam), 03 September (HS): Two police personnel were allegedly shot dead by a fellow policeman using an AK-47 rifle at Gamorimura Police Pahara Outpost in the Boko area of Assam’s Kamrup Rural district.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as outpost in-charge Indrajit Bora and police personnel Fazrul Ali. The accused policeman, identified as Chiranjeevi Choudhury, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The motive behind the firing is not yet known. Police have registered a murder case and are interrogating the arrested policeman.

The bodies of the deceased personnel have been taken into police custody and sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.-----------
