Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya becomes in-charge of 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' in UP

Minister Yogendra Upadhyay to hold meet with officials of concerned depts and decide dept-wise responsibilities, give instructions for grand event

Lucknow, 03 Sept (HS): To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's completion of 25 years of public service, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh will organize a massive Seva Sankalp Abhiyan across the state. Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay has been appointed in-charge of Uttar Pradesh to ensure the successful completion of this campaign, which will run from September 17, the Prime Minister's birthday, to October 17, 2026. Under the campaign, various programs related to public service, social concerns, and nation-building will be organized from village panchayats to district headquarters and metropolitan cities.

The objective of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is to inform citizens about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public life and public service, as well as to connect every citizen with the collective national resolve for a Developed India 2047. The Yogi government intends that the campaign's impact should not be limited to district headquarters, but should reach every area of the Nyaya Panchayat, Gram Panchayat, and cities, ensuring widespread public participation.

The major programmes of the campaign include 'Lamp of Blessings', 'India of Crores of Children's Dreams', 'Namo Seva Gatha', 'Celebration of the Courtyard', 'Story of Change', 'Developed India Sankalp Yatra', 'Seva Jyoti Yatra', 'Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra', 'Service is my Contribution', 'Rangoli from Home to Nation', 'Innovation Challenge' and 'Public Service Mahakumbh'.

The campaign will be launched on September 17, 2026, through the Aashirwad Ka Diya program, from the village panchayat level to the cities. To mark this occasion, programs will be organized at various locations with public participation. Prosthetic limbs and assistive devices will also be distributed to persons with disabilities.

In this sequence, the Developed India Sankalp Yatra will be organized on October 7, 2026. Yatras will be held in every district of the state, urging citizens to take a collective pledge to play their part in building a developed India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address will also be broadcast on large screens at various locations.

Under the Seva Mera Yogdan program, cleanliness, tree plantation, and beautification of ghats, parks, cow shelters, etc. will be undertaken. Blood donation camps will also be organized. Health Fairs will be organized in various areas of the state, providing health checkups and medical consultations, along with the distribution of essential medicines.

Through Namo Seva Gatha, the story of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life, his public welfare schemes, and the transformations that have occurred in various sectors of the country during this period will be conveyed to the public. Special emphasis will also be placed on connecting the new generation with the resolve to nation-building through programs related to children, youth, and innovation.

To accelerate preparations for the campaign, Higher Education Minister and In-Charge of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Uttar Pradesh, Yogendra Upadhyaya will soon convene a meeting with officials from the relevant departments. The meeting will define the responsibilities of various departments and provide necessary guidelines for effective, comprehensive, and grand events.

This campaign, to be organised under the leadership of the Yogi government, will be organised as an important initiative towards spreading the spirit of service, participation and nation building to the people and connecting the resolution of 'Developed India-2047' with every citizen of the state.
