New Delhi, 03 September (H.S.): Delhi Lokayukta Justice Harish Chandra Mishra passed away at Safdarjung Hospital on Thursday morning. He had taken oath as Delhi Lokayukta on March 23, 2022. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and several Delhi ministers expressed grief over his demise.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, in a post on social media platform X, described the news of Justice Harish Chandra Mishra’s death as deeply distressing. She prayed that God grant peace to the departed soul and give his family members and well-wishers the strength to endure this profound loss.

Delhi Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh also expressed grief over his death, describing Justice Mishra’s passing as an irreparable loss to the fields of justice and public service. He prayed that the departed soul be granted eternal peace and that the bereaved family be given courage and strength during this difficult time.

Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh described the news of Justice Mishra’s demise as extremely sad and painful.

Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa termed his death an irreparable loss to the legal fraternity and society. Sirsa said that Justice Mishra’s dedication and contribution towards justice and public welfare would always be remembered.
