New Delhi, 03 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday emphasised that even ordinary qualities can attain the highest level of excellence and recognition when provided with the right support and nurturing environment.

Sharing a Sanskrit verse as part of his ‘Subhashitam’ series on X, Prime Minister Modi wrote:

“पात्रविशेषे न्यस्तं गुणान्तरं व्रजति शिल्पमाधातुः। जलमिव समुद्रशुक्तौ मुक्ताफलतां पयोदयस्य।।”

The verse conveys that the worth and elevation of a person or an object depend significantly on the kind of environment or support it receives. Just as ordinary water transforms into a precious pearl when it comes into contact with an oyster, ordinary qualities too can attain the highest level of excellence and prestige when placed in an appropriate and worthy environment.
