
New Delhi, 03 September (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed deep grief over the demise of noted Gujarati composer Gaurang Vyas.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the demise of Gujarati music composer Gaurang Vyas. Carrying forward the rich musical legacy of his father, Avinash Vyas, he carved out a distinct identity for himself in the field of Gujarati music. With his passing, Gujarat has lost a talented artist. His invaluable contribution to Gujarati music will always be remembered. I pray for the peace of the departed soul and extend my condolences to his bereaved family and his numerous admirers. Om Shanti.”
Gaurang Vyas, son of the late Avinash Vyas, a renowned composer and lyricist of the Gujarati film industry, passed away in Ahmedabad late Wednesday night. News of his demise sent a wave of grief across the Gujarati film and music fraternity.
Gaurang Vyas had been actively associated with Gujarati music for several decades and had composed music for more than 100 Gujarati films.
