Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Thursday expressed deep grief over the demise of Gujarati music composer Gaurang Vyas.

In a post on X, Shah said, “The passing of music composer Gaurang Vyas is an irreparable loss to the Gujarati music world. During his long musical journey, Vyas touched countless hearts through his invaluable musical contributions to numerous films and innumerable compositions. His immortal creations, such as ‘Dikri To Parki Thapan’, will keep his memories alive forever.”

Shah prayed that God grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give the bereaved family and his countless admirers the strength to endure this immense loss. He concluded his message with “Om Shanti.”

Notably, Gaurang Vyas, a well-known music composer and lyricist in the Gujarati film industry and son of late composer Avinash Vyas, passed away in Ahmedabad late Wednesday night. News of his demise sent a wave of grief across the Gujarati film and music fraternity.

Gaurang Vyas had remained active in the Gujarati music industry for several decades and had composed music for more than 100 Gujarati films.
