
New Delhi, 03 September (H.S.): The bullion market continued to remain under pressure on Thursday, with both gold and silver witnessing a sharp decline during early trading. Except in Chennai, gold prices across most parts of the country fell by Rs 1,900 to Rs 2,070 per 10 grams. In Chennai, gold prices declined by Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,620 per 10 grams. Silver also became cheaper by up to Rs 5,000 per kilogram in most bullion markets.
Following the latest price movements, 24-carat gold was trading at between Rs 1,52,010 and Rs 1,52,160 per 10 grams in most bullion markets across the country. Similarly, 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of Rs 1,39,340 to Rs 1,39,490 per 10 grams. With silver prices also declining, the precious metal was trading at Rs 2,44,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market during early trading.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,160 per 10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,39,490 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,52,010 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was available at Rs 1,39,340 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,52,060 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,39,390 per 10 grams.

Like other states, bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha also witnessed weakness in gold prices during early trading on Thursday. In the capitals of these three states — Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar — 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,52,010 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,39,340 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
