Lucknow, 29 Sept (HS): State Higher Education Minister Yogendra

Upadhyay on Monday conducted a site inspection of the under-construction

building of the Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Council and Higher Education

Directorate Camp Office located at Aashiana, Lucknow. He thoroughly reviewed

the progress of the construction work and inquired from the concerned officials

and representatives of the executing agency about the status of various works,

human resources, construction materials and the upcoming action plan.

The Higher Education Minister

directed that construction work be expedited and all tasks be completed within

the stipulated timeframe in a quality manner. He said that those tasks that can

be carried out in parallel should be pursued simultaneously to avoid

unnecessary delays. Ensure that each construction activity is executed

according to a clear action plan and a time-bound schedule.

Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya took

the issue of drainage and waterlogging in the under-construction building

seriously and directed that necessary measures be taken. Considering the level

of the building and the surrounding road, arrangements should be made to

prevent rainwater from entering the building premises. He directed officials to

ensure that there is no compromise on quality in the construction work. Ensure

the use of construction materials according to prescribed standards and monitor

the work regularly.

The

Higher Education Minister then held a meeting with officials at the Higher

Education Directorate's camp office to review various issues related to higher

education. He urged continued efforts to ensure that higher education is easily

and readily available to the state's youth. An effective action plan is needed

to ensure that students have access to a wide range of quality higher education

opportunities within the state, eliminating the need for them to travel to

other states or remote locations. He emphasized that expanding higher education

opportunities within the state is essential, as well as strengthening the

quality education environment in universities and higher educational

institutions. He directed officials to advance ongoing work in the field of

higher education in a timely manner, while keeping the needs of the youth in

mind.
