Bhubaneswar, 29 September (H.S.): Odisha Vigilance has arrested Shishir Kumar Dash, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Mathili Block under the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Malkangiri, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.

According to an Odisha Vigilance release, searches were conducted at properties linked to Dash following allegations that he had accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. During the searches, the Vigilance officials unearthed assets that Dash allegedly could not satisfactorily account for.

The assets detected include two multi-storeyed buildings with a combined built-up area of around 9,300 square feet, six high-value plots, bank deposits amounting to approximately Rs 82 lakh, one four-wheeler and other movable and immovable properties.

In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance Police Station Case No. 11/2026 has been registered against Dash under the provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The investigation into the case is underway. Dash will be forwarded to the Court of the Special Vigilance Judge, Berhampur, on Tuesday.
