Jaunpur, 29 Sept (HS): In Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh Minister of

State with Independent Charge Girish Chandra Yadav on Tuesday targeted the

Congress party over the SIR. He said that Congress has been in power for a long

time and that electoral processes like SIR have been implemented during its

rule. At that time, Congress did not oppose it. Today, while in the opposition,

Congress is trying to spread confusion among the public by questioning

constitutional institutions.

He said that despite the reports of the three Election

Commissioners and the clear election situation, the Congress party continues to

level accusations. Questioning the Election Commission, EVMs, and the

administration has become a long-standing practice for the opposition. The

people of the country have understood this and are responding accordingly.

Girish Chandra Yadav said that all political parties should

trust constitutional institutions. Congress has held power many times by

conducting elections through these institutions, and even today it holds

government in many states. He said that where election results are in

Congress's favor, it upholds the constitutional institutions' processes, but

raises questions when it loses.

Regarding the PDA slogan, he said that the public is now

understanding its reality. According to him, attempts are being made to create

confusion by sometimes saying the P stands for Pandit and sometimes for

backward. He claimed that after receiving the correct information, people are

gradually distancing themselves from such slogans. The Minister of State stated

that saffron is the cultural identity and symbol of this country. It serves as

an inspiration to the people. He said that political parties should present

factual information to the public while respecting constitutional institutions.
