Kushinagar, 29 Sept (HS): CM Yogi personally toured the

impacted site on Tuesday, examined the areas affected by the cuts, spoke with

the families in distress, and handed out flood relief supplies to the

residents. Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed prompt

rescue operations, evacuations, and the provision of relief supplies after a

significant breach in the embankment of the Narayani River near Tatwa Tola in

Kushinagar district on September 28–29, 2026. A late-night rupture in the AP

embankment of the Narayani River close to Tatwa Tola allowed floodwaters to

surge into nearby villages, leading to significant flooding.

CM Yogi Adityanath conducted a top-level review with the

Gorakhpur Commissioner, Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, and the

District Magistrate of Kushinagar to enhance field response. Teams from the

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force

(SDRF) were dispatched to the area to carry out extensive evacuations and

relocate trapped villagers to secure places. Local authorities have been

directed to expedite the delivery of crucial food packages, healthcare items,

and fundamental necessities to every impacted resident.
