Golaghat (Assam), 29 September (HS): Two persons were killed on the spot after their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle in the Sakaradhara area of Assam’s Golaghat district late Monday night, police said on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Mintu Nath and Rinku Nath. According to police, the two were travelling on a motorcycle when an unidentified vehicle coming from the opposite direction hit their bike. Both sustained fatal injuries and died at the accident site.

Mintu Nath was reportedly a branch manager of a private bank. He was travelling with his relative Rinku when the accident occurred.

On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies were sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a case and launched a search for the unidentified vehicle and its driver.---------------
