Aichi-Nagoya, 29 September (H.S.): The Indian women’s trap shooting team won the silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday, while Neeru Dhanda kept India’s medal hopes alive by advancing to the final of the individual event.

The Indian trio of Neeru Dhanda, Aashima Ahlawat and Manisha Keer finished second in the qualification round with a combined score of 328 points. China won the gold medal with 346 points, while Kuwait secured the bronze with 325 points.

In the individual qualification, Neeru Dhanda scored 118 points to book her place in the final. Aashima Ahlawat finished 16th with 106 points, while Manisha Keer was 23rd with 104 points. A total of 27 shooters competed in the qualification round.

Neeru Dhanda’s individual final is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Indian Standard Time.

With this medal, India’s medal tally at the 2026 Asian Games has risen to 46. India now has four gold, 21 silver and 21 bronze medals.
