Dehradun, 29 September (H.S.): Dehradun Warriors produced an impressive performance in the Uttarakhand Premier League 2026, defeating USN Indians by 52 runs.

In the match played late Monday night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun Warriors posted 204 for five in their allotted 20 overs after being put in to bat. In reply, USN Indians could manage only 152 for seven in 20 overs.

USN Indians captain Naveen Rana won the toss and elected to bowl, but Dehradun Warriors’ batters responded with an aggressive start. Captain Kunal Chandela and wicketkeeper-batter Sanskar Rawat put together a strong opening partnership.

Sanskar Rawat struck a blistering 62 off just 33 balls, including nine fours and a six. Kunal Chandela, meanwhile, scored 70 from 50 deliveries, hitting six fours and two sixes. In the closing stages of the innings, Neeraj Rathour remained unbeaten on 45, while Poorvansh Dhruv added an unbeaten 12 off four balls to take Dehradun Warriors to 204. For USN Indians, Rahul Devnath and Rohit Dangwal claimed two wickets apiece.

Chasing 205, USN Indians endured a disastrous start. Dehradun Warriors fast bowler Devendra Singh Bora delivered an outstanding opening spell, tearing through the opposition’s top order. By the time the score reached just 11, four key USN Indians batters—Sachin Bhati for a duck, Piyush Joshi for three, Harsh Rana for seven and Vishal Dangwal for a duck—had returned to the pavilion.

Aditya Sethi and Abhishek Dafouti then attempted to revive the innings. Aditya scored 54 off 36 balls, including three fours and three sixes, while Abhishek remained unbeaten on 48 from 34 deliveries. Rahul Devnath added a quick 24 off 14 balls in the lower order, but their efforts were not enough to take USN Indians to the target.

Devendra Singh Bora was the standout bowler for Dehradun Warriors, claiming three wickets for just 10 runs in his three overs. Aditya Rawat also took two wickets. Backed by the impressive bowling performance, Dehradun Warriors restricted USN Indians to 152 for seven in 20 overs and secured a 52-run victory.
