Aichi-Nagoya, 28 September (H.S.): India made an impressive start to their men’s team squash campaign at the Asian Games 2026, defeating China 3-0 in their opening Pool A encounter on Monday. Suraj Kumar Chand, Veer Chotrani and Velavan Senthilkumar won their respective matches to hand India a comprehensive victory.

Suraj Kumar Chand gave India the early lead, defeating China’s Du Shaoqian 3-0. Suraj won the match 11-4, 11-2, 12-10.

Veer Chotrani then strengthened India’s advantage with another straight-game victory. He defeated Li Haichen 3-0, winning all three games 11-5, 11-5, 11-3.

Velavan Senthilkumar completed the clean sweep in the third match, defeating his Chinese opponent 3-0 to seal India’s 3-0 victory. He won the match 11-3, 11-2, 11-4.

India will next face the Republic of Korea, the other team in their pool.
