New Delhi, 28 September (H.S.): Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday announced his partnership with OpenAI. Tendulkar said he was excited to explore new possibilities with ChatGPT, share his experiences and encourage more people to try the technology.

Tendulkar announced the partnership through a post on the social media platform X. He said that under the partnership, he would explore new ways of using ChatGPT and share with people the things he finds useful.

“I’m excited to announce my partnership with OpenAI. We have some interesting things coming up, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I’ve always been curious... one question often leads to another, and ChatGPT has certainly encouraged that habit even more. But it has also proved useful when I have things to get done, such as planning my recent trip with my family,” Tendulkar said.

He further said, “That’s what excites me about this partnership. Finding out what else I can do with ChatGPT, sharing what I find useful, and encouraging more people to try it—with something they care about. A question, an idea, something you’ve always wanted to explore. There are so many possibilities to get started. I can’t wait to explore them together.”

Tendulkar also shared a video related to the partnership. In the video, he asks ChatGPT to play a game and identify who he is with using only 10 questions. ChatGPT successfully arrives at the correct answer through the 10 questions.

Considered one of the greatest batters in the history of cricket, Tendulkar is the highest run-scorer in international cricket. He scored 34,357 runs in 664 international matches, including 15,921 runs in Tests, 18,426 in One-Day Internationals and 10 in his only T20 International. He also holds the record for 100 international centuries.

Sachin Tendulkar represented India in international cricket from 1989 to 2013. In 2010, he became the first batter to score a double century in ODI cricket when he remained unbeaten on 200 against South Africa. He was also the first cricketer to reach the landmark of 50 international centuries.

In 2014, Tendulkar was conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour. He was the first sportsperson to receive the prestigious award.

Tendulkar’s partnership with OpenAI comes at a time when the company is expanding the use of ChatGPT across different sectors. Earlier this month, the company launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, initially focusing on investment banking and equity research. The offering includes tools related to financial data and financial modelling.
