New Delhi, 28 September (H.S.): India continued its strong showing at the 20th Asian Games being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, winning 39 medals so far, including four gold, 17 silver and 18 bronze medals. India is currently placed 12th in the overall medal standings.

India had created a record at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023 by winning 106 medals. This time, more than 500 Indian athletes are competing with the aim of surpassing that performance.
