Morigaon (Assam), 28 September (HS): A passenger boat carrying 11 people, including women and children, sank in the Brahmaputra river at Lahorighat in Assam, leaving four passengers missing.

Several passengers reportedly managed to escape safely after the boat sank. The incident triggered panic in the area, while efforts are underway to trace and rescue the missing passengers.
