New Delhi, 28 September (H.S.): A meeting to discuss measures to control air pollution in Delhi was held at Paryavaran Bhawan on Monday under the chairmanship of Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also attended the meeting.

Posting on her social media account on X, the Chief Minister said providing the people of Delhi with clean air and a healthy environment was the government’s highest priority. She said pollution control was not an issue that could be confined to any particular season. The government, she added, was working continuously throughout the year to tackle every major source of pollution through effective action, inter-departmental coordination and stringent monitoring at the ground level.

The Chief Minister said the important suggestions put forward by the Union Minister during the meeting would be implemented effectively. She added that the Central Government’s continued cooperation in the fight against air pollution was further strengthening Delhi’s efforts in this regard.
