New Delhi, 28 September (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday launched the ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’ at the Delhi Secretariat under the Service Sankalp Campaign. The portal is an integrated digital platform developed to strengthen the Ease of Doing Business ecosystem in Delhi. It will provide entrepreneurs, traders, MSMEs, startups, industrial units and investors with convenient access to various government services and approvals through a single digital interface. Delhi Industries Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa and senior officials from the concerned departments were present on the occasion.
At present, more than 50 government services from 15 departments have been integrated into the ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’. The government aims to expand it to more than 100 services across 21 departments. The initiative is expected to provide easier and more convenient access to government services for more than eight lakh traders in Delhi, including MSMEs. The portal has also been integrated with the National Single Window System (NSWS), enabling investors and businesses to access approvals at both the central and state levels through a unified digital platform. This is expected to make the approval process faster and more transparent.
The ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’ will enable applicants to identify the approvals required for their businesses, submit applications, track their status and communicate with various departments through a single digital interface. The portal incorporates several important digital features. Through Single Sign-On (SSO), users will be able to access services offered by different departments with a single login. The Common Application Form (CAF) will reduce the need for applicants to repeatedly submit the same basic information.
The ‘Know Your Approvals’ (KYA) feature will help entrepreneurs identify the approvals required for their proposed businesses. Through the applicant dashboard, users will be able to track the status of applications at a single location, while departmental dashboards will assist concerned departments in monitoring applications and service delivery. In addition, the guidance module will provide frequently asked questions, manuals and service-related guidance, enabling entrepreneurs to clearly understand the required procedures before submitting applications.
The Chief Minister said the government aims to create a business environment in the national capital where entrepreneurs and investors do not have to face unnecessary procedural complexities and can instead focus more on expanding their businesses, promoting innovation and creating employment. She said Ease of Doing Business is not limited to bringing procedures online, but is also aimed at establishing a system based on trust, transparency and convenience between the government and the business community. The ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’ is an important reform in this direction.
She said the Delhi government would continue to add more services to the portal, simplify procedures and strengthen digital transformation. The government aims to create a business and investment environment in Delhi that encourages entrepreneurship, facilitates investment and accelerates employment generation. It will further expand the ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’ through service integration, process simplification and digital transformation.
Delhi Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the ‘Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal’ is an important step towards making it easier to do business in Delhi. The portal provides entrepreneurs with a single-window facility, through a unified identity, for obtaining licences, No-Objection Certificates and other business-related services. So far, 15 departments and boards have been integrated with the portal, with more than 50 services currently available. The government aims to bring more than 100 services from 21 departments onto the portal by next month.
He said the portal would provide entrepreneurs with information on the approvals required to start a business, facilitate the submission of applications, enable them to track application status and provide a platform for grievance redressal.
