28 Sept (HS): Four workers were injured in a blast in Mahad MIDC’s Synergia

Chem Industries on Sunday. The sudden blast in the chemical dye company’s reactor.

The blast resulted in fire and smoke sending dear among the workers in the

adjoining industries.

Although

no loss of life was reported, one of the workers, Vipin Laad, was critically injured

and has been hospitalised with others, who received minor injuries. The loud

sound the blast was heard at a distance in the MIDC area. The police and Fire Brigade

personnel rushed to the accident site and started controlling the fire.

The

security measures taken by the company is again under question. Investigation

into the cause of the blast and security measures has been initiated.
