Lucknow, 27 Sept (HS): At the ceremony organized in Lucknow

for the inauguration of the birth centenary year of the revered Ashok Singhal

Ji, the pioneer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and former international

president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh said, “The Shri

Ayodhya ji that used to live in darkness has today also become the country's

number-1 solar city. When, on 2 November 1990, a brutal lathi charge and hail

of bullets rained down on the 'Ram devotees' while they were singing the tune

of 'Ram naam,' if anyone stepped forward with chest held high to confront it,

that name was— the revered Ashok Singhal ji. The revered Shri Ashok Singhal ji

had but one resolve in his life—'Raghukula Bhushan, until I accomplish Ram's

task, where shall I find rest for myself'.”

Addressing the gathering, he remarked, “Whenever the

opportunity arose, from India's saints, Naga ascetics, Sikh warriors, youth,

and women to every single individual, tying a shroud over their heads, they

rushed forward for the liberation of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. The flame that the

revered Ashok Singhal Ji ignited in the 1980s has today transformed into a

blazing fire, tirelessly burning day and night for the protection and promotion

of the entire Hindu society.”

“Some people say that the cow should be declared the 'national

animal.' We said that 'animal' is what you are, brother. The cow is our mother,

with a bond that spans lifetimes. Despite being invited by the Shri Ram

Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, 'these' people did not attend the foundation

stone laying of Shri Ram Mandir and the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Shri

Ram Lalla. They could see their vote bank slipping away, fearing that if they

went, their 'skullcap' supporters might just drift apart,” he added.

Prior to signing off, he opined, “It was a great privilege

to participate today in the program organized in Lucknow for the inaugural

ceremony of the birth centenary year (1926-2026) of the revered Ashok Singhal

Ji, the pioneer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement and former international

president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. In the blessed presence of revered

Ashok Ji, we actively participated in the Shri Ram Temple movement. Now, the

realization of his dreams is visible in the form of the magnificent Shri Ram

Temple in Shri Ayodhya Dham. Heartfelt congratulations to VHP for this grand

event, and millions of salutations to the sacred memories of revered Ashok Ji.”
